Educational Excellence, Unlimited Potential

Meet the 2024 Jane Bryan GHS Distinguished Alumni Honorees

Join us as we honor Sunnie Carney, John Doane, MD, LTC Christopher Hanes and the Honorable Brian Wimes April 20, at the Armacost Museum, 4200 E. 135th St., Grandview, MO 64030 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sign up now and help us celebrate our esteemed alumni along with a fabulous brunch catered by Katie’s Catering. There will be a silent auction and a chance to win some select wines and top shelf spirits. All proceeds from the event go directly to the Grandview Education Foundation and funding for Cover to Cover, student scholarships, and staff and teacher grants.

Here’s a look at the special wines and spirits being raffled off at the brunch:

Baldacci Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 ($159.99)

Aromas of sliced plum, ripe redcurrant and toasted sage. Medium-to full-bodied with very fine, slightly chewy tannins. Well-balanced ripe fruit and black tea on the palate with articulate acidity. This is a wine drinker's wine and something that anyone can enjoy and appreciate. An excellent product to go with a steak dinner in Kansas City or if you want to relax during the cooler nights. Can't miss with this one.

Booker's "Uncut and Unfiltered" Small Batch Bourbon ($169.99)

Booker's is known for the romanticism of their releases but doesn't let up on the quality of the product. Flavors of caramel, vanilla and light cashew, this is a well balanced and expertly made bourbon that won't disappoint. While it is a high proof, the alcohol doesn't overwhelm the tastes of the Kentucky distillers chose. Just a great brown liquor to have in a collection or to enjoy after the Chief's next Super Bowl win.

Tzarina Brut Champagne ($289.99)

Of the many flamboyant Champagne bottles, this is one of the most stylish with its elegant frosted glass. This aromatic wine is a 50-50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blend, with a crisp texture and fruits that are maturing well. This special product is perfect for a dinner party or to enjoy on a special occasion. This came with the highest recommendation from our expert friends at Total Wine & More in Martin City.
