Keeping Kids into Books!

Cover to Cover in the Grandview C-4 School District is a program designed to help prevent a summer decline in reading skills and promote a lifelong love of reading. Each year the project impacts more than 1,700 students at Belvidere, Butcher-Greene, CAIR, Conn-West, High Grove, Martin City K-5, and Meadowmere.

A bookstore is set up in each school library, and students come in to “shop” by grade. They receive a bag for their free books as well. They take these books home in order to read them over the summer. In May 2025, each student received 5-10 books of their choice from over 15,000 books!
