Diana Bundy Memorial Scholarship

In memory of Diana Bundy, family and friends established this scholarship when she passed away in 2021.  Diana taught English and Creative Writing in the Grandview School District for 32 years, was the sponsor of Literary Magazine and National Honor Society for numerous years.

Students who remember Diana from her classes share that she helped them to find their authentic voices and encouraged them to express themselves through the written word. 

She wrote poetry weekly, was an avid reader, and encouraged everyone to write…in a journal, write a poem, or essay, or just jot thoughts on the back of an envelope.  Scholarship criteria: Strong language arts skills; 3.0 GPA; and financial need.  Three letters of recommendation are required with at least one from an English teacher.  Three writing samples are also required.  Any student may apply but preference will be given to students who are pursuing a degree in English, Creative Writing, or Journalism.
