Kathy Meyers Founding Member Memorial Scholarship
In 2018, the Grandview Education Foundation established the Kathy Meyers Founding Member Scholarship. Kathy was a founding member of GEF in October of 1997 and continues to serve on the board of the Foundation.
This scholarship was established to honor her dedication and hard work for GEF, and the Grandview C-4 school district. Kathy is a GHS alumni, served on the GC-4 Board of Education for many years, and works as the executive assistant to the superintendent. She is a true advocate for the students and staff of the district.
The scholarship will be awarded based on character, above average grades, good citizenship, and financial need. Applicants may be interviewed during the selection process.
Applications are available in the counselor’s office. Applicants must meet the following requirements and include the following information in their application:
-A minimum 2.5 GPA
-Attend a post-secondary institution in the fall
-Two letters of recommendation (no relatives): one from school personnel and one from a community member
-A one-page essay on the topic “My Life’s Purpose”
